Potawatomi Sportsbook Grand Opening

PCH Sportsbook Grand Opening

Posted by & filed under News, Hospitality.

As renovations at Potawatomi Casino | Hotel in Milwaukee roll on, the next exciting addition to the Casino is now open: The brand-new, state-of-the-art sportsbook. Formerly in the space of the Northern Lights theatre, Gilbane | Greenfire completed the transformation of the space into one of the nation’s most impressive sportsbooks. As is the case with previous renovations, Greenfire took great pride in being able to complete the construction on-time, with minimal disruption to the 24/7 operating Casino and its guests. The new space’s most impressive feature is the nearly 2,000 SF screen that spans the entire sportsbook, enough to view over 30 sporting events simultaneously. Up to 200 guests will have no issue finding a good seat to watch their favorite sporting event. An even better view is offered from the upper VIP level, which is adjacent to the broadcast booth available for podcasts and other media use, including 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee, who was broadcasting live during the Grand Opening event. The new sportsbook space also features a first-class bar and “The Kitchen”, offering classic pub fare and other tasty treats. With the Grand Opening of the sportsbook, the Casino also welcomed back Poker with a brand new 14-table Poker Room, adjacent to the new sportsbook.  The Potawatomi sportsbook grand opening event kicked off proper fanfare, as members of Team Greenfire, Gilbane, tribal members, media members and other guests got to soak in the new space, as well as enjoy delicious food samples offered by The Kitchen. The event commenced with a ceremonial drum circle, followed by Forest County Potawatomi Community Chairman James Crawford welcoming guests and shared his excitement for what the Sportsbook means to the tribe, the city and region. Potawatomi Casino | Hotel CEO Dominic Ortiz shared the same sentiment and claimed the “Nation’s No.1 state-of-the-art sportsbook” officially open.

May 2024 Project Spotlight | Prairie’s Edge Commercial

Posted by & filed under News.

Greenfire was the construction manager for Prairie’s Edge first commercial building on a newly developed site owned by Black Cap Halcyon. Prairie’s Edge is a new development along the shores of Lake Michigan in Port Washington. Among the high-end homes, condos and apartments there is a new commercial building that will be the home of Lakeside Alliance Church. The Church will occupy 6,000 SF while an additional 1,500 SF will be available for a future tenant.

The building includes multiple spaces for the growing church to have a variety of functions. There is a main worship space that will seat up to 165 members and visitors. The space includes integrated A/V and electronic window shades. The ceiling features true timber beams that echo the natural landscape of the development. Adjacent to the worship space is a gathering space with a kitchenette and pastor’s office. There is a nursery/mother’s room, child care space and a classroom that will be used by younger members of the church. Each room has a TV for viewing the service as it is broadcasted from the worship space. The finishes throughout the building reflect light, natural colors and a feel that is cohesive with the location on the water.

The site offers direct views of Lake Michigan, future walking paths with access to the adjacent public park, and a variety of parking with electric vehicle parking. Project Manager, Marc Wisniewski and Superintendent, Alan Augustynowicz managed this project, and Greenfire looks forward to this commercial building being a central hub in the growing Prairie’s Edge development.

Posted by & filed under News, Education, Government.

Progress is continuing at Greenfire’s UW-Oshkosh Chiller Replacement project.

To support this new cooling tower, various components have been installed, including new hydronic piping, replacement pumps for both the new and existing towers, new electrical disconnects and controls by Johnson Controls.
