April 2024 Project Spotlight | UW-Oshkosh Chiller Replacement Project Rolls On

Posted by & filed under News, Education, Government.

Progress is continuing at Greenfire’s UW-Oshkosh Chiller Replacement project.

The project involves the replacement of an existing cooling tower at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. To support this new cooling tower, various components have been installed, including new hydronic piping, replacement pumps for both the new and existing towers, new electrical disconnects and controls by Johnson Controls. The catwalk system has been replaced as well.

The delivery of the cooling tower components required six tractor trailers, which were stored in a holding area in Oshkosh until they were ready to be hoisted into position on the roof. A&J Mechanical Contractors, Inc. provided highly skilled tradesmen who efficiently prefabricated and installed 12-inch steel hydronic piping.

President Jeb Meier and Michael Moe, Business Development Manager, represented Greenfire this year at RES 2024 in Las Vegas. Greenfire was also proud to attend the unveiling of Potawatomi Ventures new brand launch to summit attendees.

RES (Reservation Economic Summit) 2024 provides high level networking, opportunities, business development sessions and one-on-one consulting, all centered around American Indian Enterprise.

The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) has embraced the theme of “Strength in Unity” for the 2024 Reservation Economic Summit. This event brings together a distinguished assembly of tribal leaders, members of Congress, federal agency representatives, influential state and local officials, and top CEOs onto a national stage.

RES 2024 not only serves as a hub for high-level discussions and collaborations but also as a catalyst for economic empowerment. It provides a unique platform for Native American artists to exhibit and market their products, making it the largest economic summit in Indian Country and a vital opportunity for economic advancement.

There was a lot to love about Team Greenfire’s efforts and activities in February! We donated, volunteered, and were mindful of each other’s hearts during CPR training. While projects are still humming along, we took a moment to take in this year’s State of the Tribes address in Madison as well.

Greenfire at the 2024 State of the Tribes Address

Posted by & filed under News.

Greenfire was a reception sponsor and in attendance for this year’s State of the Tribes Address held in Madison, WI. Forest County Potawatomi Community‘s own Chairman James Crawford took to the podium at the Wisconsin State Capitol to give the address. The main theme of his address was strengthening the cooperative relationship between the state and the tribal communities. Among those attending the address were leaders from the federally recognized tribes. Among highlights mentioned in his address, Chairman Crawford celebrated many achievements in the past year between the state and their tribes. In front of many of the states leading representatives, Chairman Crawford closed his remarks by not only calling for unity and commonality amongst the state’s tribes, but the State of Wisconsin and its residents as a whole, as well as optimism for what’s in store in the next year and beyond.

As a wholly owned company of the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, an investment arm of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, Greenfire was proud to attend the event, and be a sponsor of the reception held at the Park Hotel, right on the Capitol Square.

The address can be viewed here.

Team Greenfire Donates & Volunteers for Milwaukee Christian Center

Team Greenfire was proud to volunteer and donate to the Milwaukee Christian Center. With the help of Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, our teams donated a wide array of full-size toiletries, hygiene products and clothing – for a total of 262 items donated!

Members of our team gladly took time from their busy schedules to prep and serve a daily lunch service, as well as prep meals for the remainder of the week.

On top of that, Greenfire generously donated $1,250 to the MCC Senior Meal Program. We were honored to join the MCC’s efforts to support our community and neighbors!

Team Greenfire has “Heart”

Posted by & filed under News.

Safety and professional development are top priorities at Greenfire. Each year we offer CPR and First Aid Training to all team members. Whether they were first time trainees, or looking to renew their certifications, the team members in attendance listened and learned from our instructor Jeremy, a Firefighter & Paramedic with Titan CPR Associates. Jeremy provided real world experience and insight on how to address crisis events, and properly trained the team on technique and protocols.

Everyone took turns practicing on the training mannequins (don’t call them dummies!) on how to properly address a situation, call for help, begin administering CPR, and how to use an AED.

All members of Team Greenfire that completed the training and lessons received certification cards, officially noting that they’ve been trained on CPR & First Aid practices. It may seem like a simple practice, but being prepared for critical situations is one of the many things that we at Greenfire look to continue bolstering our readiness, experience and knowledge as #BuildersOfTheFuture.

March 2024 Project Spotlight | Tivoli Green Phase II Is Under Way In Mount Pleasant

Posted by & filed under News, Multi-Family.

The second phase of Wangard Partners’ Tivoli Green Apartments is underway, marking another significant milestone for the highly successful apartment community that was Racine County’s first multi-family residential development in over 20 years. Greenfire’s experienced construction team is diligently keeping the project on schedule and providing tactful guidance to avoid disruption to the current residents of the property’s first phase of the development.

Phase II of Tivoli Green includes two-story walk-up apartment buildings and townhomes, each with private side-by-side two-car attached garages. This phase will help meet a demand for housing not previously available in the community. Located approximately three miles east of Interstate-94 in Mount Pleasant, WI, the development consists of class-A buildings, a clubhouse, pool and dog park.
