The RIPCO Branch Renovation project updated the credit union’s Rhinelander, WI branch at 121 Sutliff Ave. while maintaining daily operations for members and staff throughout construction. The work focused on targeted interior improvements that supported security, workflow, and space utilization across the facility. The building includes a basement and two above-grade levels, with renovations limited to specific areas rather than a full-building overhaul. The project was delivered in close coordination with RIPCO leadership and design partner PURE Architecture Studio to align operational needs, security requirements, and constructability within an active financial environment.

Greenfire provided early and continuous involvement to align scope, cost, and schedule from preconstruction through final completion. The team coordinated phased work, long-lead material procurement, and trade sequencing to limit disruption to staff and members. Detailed planning supported temporary enclosures, floor protection, and controlled access zones, allowing teller, drive-thru, and office functions to remain operational. Greenfire managed stakeholder communication, oversaw quality control, and maintained schedule certainty through structured reporting and proactive issue resolution.

The project scope included interior renovations across the first floor, second floor, and basement, totaling targeted areas of alteration within the existing building footprint. Completed improvements included relocation of storage functions to create additional workspace, security upgrades near the teller, accounting, and executive areas, and relocation of the coin machine with supporting back-of-house work areas. The basement renovations converted existing storage and board room spaces into a new private office and a call center. Additional work included electrical and data revisions, selective demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, ceiling repairs, glazing installation, reuse and installation of casework, plumbing updates, and life-safety coordination. Exterior improvements addressed the drive-up teller infrastructure and associated systems.

With construction complete, the renovated Rhinelander branch now supports current operations and future staffing needs without expanding the building footprint. The improvements provide more efficient workspaces, clearer separation between public and secure areas, and infrastructure that supports evolving service models. The completed project establishes a framework for future branch updates while preserving member access and operational continuity.
