In partnership with Rafael Gracia, Greenfire hosted the Associated in Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) program and WCREW for a property tour and Q&A at the recently finished 37th Street School senior apartments. Alexandra Don, an Associate Attorney at AVK Law, led the discussion and asked questions pertaining to project development and financing to construction and building challenges. A group of about 25 were in attendance who were also able to ask their own questions and learn more about the building and the entire process. The tour concluded with refreshments and a networking session. Greenfire project team members who participated in the tour included Paul Hackbarth, Director of Construction, Gage Christianson, Project Manager, and Angelo Rodriguez, Assistant Superintendent.

No “fowl” play in November for Greenfire. The month was stuffed with quite a few highlights and plenty to be thankful for. We celebrated a groundbreaking and a ribbon cutting, presented the 2021 Urban Spaceship Conference, and presented our best collection yet for an annual community drive. Fox 11: Ground broken on final resting spot for historic Door County Granary

STURGEON BAY (WLUK) — The Sturgeon Bay Historical Society broke ground Friday for the final resting spot for the Door County Granary.

It’s located in its original spot on the city’s west side.

The granary had been across the bay for the last several years until the city helped approve a project to enhance the waterfront by the granary’s original location.

After four years, two moves and many twists and turns, the Door County Granary project is underway.

A groundbreaking ceremony held Friday at the 92 E. Maple St. site signaled the start of the first phase of construction. Pilings will be driven, the foundation poured and then the structure jacked up and moved about 50 feet to its final base. Other work during this phase includes a new exterior skin, and for the top, translucent panels. A grand opening of this first phase will be held by June 1, 2022, said Christie Weber, president of the Sturgeon Bay Historical Society Foundation.
