WCREW Honors Greenfire Projects

May 1, 2026

Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women (WCREW) brings together professionals across Wisconsin’s commercial real estate industry to support leadership development, networking, and recognition of projects and individuals making an impact throughout communities across the state. Greenfire joined industry partners and community leaders at the 2026 WCREW Impact Awards, where two Greenfire-managed projects were recognized for their impact on Milwaukee neighborhoods and public spaces. Greenfire also supported the event as a sponsor alongside organizations across Wisconsin’s commercial real estate industry.

Davidson Park received the Judges’ Choice award for its transformation of an underutilized commercial parking lot into a public park focused, on community connection, culture, and environmental stewardship. Located at a major corporate campus in Milwaukee, the 4.8-acre park converted a former parking lot into a space designed for neighborhood use, public gatherings, reflection, and recreation.

Greenfire managed construction of the project, which included an amphitheater, playground spaces, stormwater management systems, public gathering areas, native plantings, and a Serenity Garden developed in collaboration with the Forest County Potawatomi Community. The park also incorporates materials and design elements tied to Milwaukee’s history and surrounding neighborhoods.

Concordia 27 received the Community Impact award for the redevelopment of a long-vacant historic building into a mixed-use community resource hub on Milwaukee’s Near West Side. The project brought together affordable housing, workforce development resources, wellness services, food preparation facilities, coworking space, and nonprofit organizations under one roof.

Greenfire worked alongside project stakeholders early in the process to help address the complexities associated with adaptive reuse construction, occupied neighborhood coordination, and specialized tenant requirements. The completed development now supports local organizations, entrepreneurs, workforce training, and food insecurity initiatives throughout Milwaukee County.

Both projects demonstrate how construction projects can support broader community goals while serving different project types and delivery needs. From public gathering spaces to historic redevelopment and mixed-use community facilities, Greenfire continues to support projects that strengthen neighborhoods and create long-term value for the communities they serve.
