On September 27, 2023, a group of business leaders gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the second phase of the Tivoli Green multi-family development in Mount Pleasant, WI. Wangard Partners hosted the event on the lawn of the clubhouse that was part of the first phase of the project. Over 100 people gathered to hear local dignitaries and Wangard leaders speak about the importance of this project. Matt Maroney was the emcee and spoke about many key individuals and entities like Racine County, the Village of Mount Pleasant, Greenfire, JLA Architects and their development leadership team. The event culminated in the traditional dirt toss by key individuals and investors.
This development represents the first multi-family development in 20 years in Racine County. The first phase provided much needed housing and density and the second phase will provide even more with a focus on upgrades and townhomes based on resident feedback and market demand. The project includes nine buildings and a maintenance garage. The buildings range from garden style apartments to townhomes.
The Potawatomi Business Development Corp is an investor in the project and Stu Wangard mentioned that with their support and others, this was the fastest capital raise with over $15 million being raised in two weeks. With that confidence Greenfire is the construction manager on the project and already had the first building framed up in the distance of the event.
