Multi-phased renovation to the 50,000 SF building to accommodate charter elementary school. Includes renovations to all four floors consisting of classrooms, kitchen and cafeteria, art room and gymnasium. As part of the Wgema Campus redevelopment, Woodlands East School is a multi-phased renovation of the formerly vacant Indian Community School to accommodate an additional location for the UW-Milwaukee charter elementary school. Tenant improvements to the 50,000 SF building includes renovations of all four floors consisting of classrooms, a kitchen and cafeteria, art room and a gymnasium. Exterior renovations include refurbishment of the building’s facade and site upgrades consisting of fresh landscaping, a new playground and paved drop-off zone. The project required a high degree of site supervision to carefully coordinate construction activity within an operational building to avoid disruption to residing tenants and ensure a safety within an active school zone. This multi-phased project required detailed knowledge to ensure budget and timeline were met.
