Mackson Corners Waterfront is part of a multi-phased project to redevelop the former industrial waterfront along the Fox River into a vibrant street scape. The development sits on the former Cook & Brown Lime Co. property which required environmental analysis and soil excavation, infill, and site grading. Environmental analysis to yield proper soil bearing conditions; excavation, infill, and grading and the installation of more than 200 geopiers to yield construction along the river. The below-grade cast-in-place foundation houses underground parking and supports a structural steel and stick framed grade level with three residential floors and seven walk-out town homes along the river requiring detailed coordination with the Parks Department to ensure quality construction along a public access riverwalk. Mackson Corners adds 74 residential units and retail spaces is designed to include a waterfront restaurant, offices, micro space for entrepreneurs, and health/fitness use.
