Developed by Sagewind Development, the project adds a new retail presence along Highway 60 at Hetzel Way and serves as the first commercial tenant in Merchant Village, a 130-acre mixed-use development by Three Leaf Partners.

Greenfire managed construction of the 9,500 SF market, working alongside project engineers The Sigma Group and design from NELSON Worldwide. Greenfire oversaw site preparation, installation of underground fuel infrastructure, and construction of the steel-frame building and fueling stations. The project team coordinated closely with Sagewind Development and fireside MARKET leadership to maintain quality, safety, and schedule, maintaining the collaboration across Potawatomi Ventures’ portfolio of companies.

The single-story structure integrates food service, retail, and fueling operations into a unique convenience model. The building features a drive-thru, EV charging stations, a walk-in cooler, kitchens for food preparation, curbside pickup lockers, and outdoor patios. A central indoor-outdoor fireplace anchors the customer area and reinforces the brand’s theme as a welcoming hearth. The site includes underground fuel tanks, a retaining wall, and paved areas for fueling, parking, and deliveries.

fireside MARKET will introduce a fresh food-forward convenience concept designed to serve both travelers and the local community. The model combines convenience with quality food service and aligns with Potawatomi Ventures’ long-term strategy to diversify its holdings and expand its retail footprint across Wisconsin.
