Greenfire provided preconstruction and construction management at risk (CMAR) services for the 5,200-square-foot gymnasium addition at D.C. Everest Middle School in Weston, Wisconsin. Completed in 2021 as part of a larger school renovation program, the new construction addition expanded athletic and physical education space while allowing the school to remain fully operational throughout construction.
The project scope included site excavation, grading, backfill, footings, foundations, and construction of a new steel and brick gymnasium addition. The completed facility features a new athletic floor, basketball systems, and a rock climbing wall that supports physical education classes, student activities, and recreational programming.
As an education construction manager, Greenfire developed a phased construction plan focused on maintaining student safety, campus accessibility, and uninterrupted academic activities. The team worked closely with school administrators, project stakeholders, and trade partners to coordinate construction around daily school operations and minimize disruptions on the active campus.
Greenfire also managed coordination between the gymnasium addition and the broader renovation program, helping maintain project schedules, align construction activities, and support efficient sequencing across multiple project areas. Delivered on a three-month construction schedule, the project demonstrates Greenfire’s experience managing school additions, occupied campus construction, and education facility improvements while maintaining a safe learning environment for students and staff.
