Greenfire is managing construction of Commercial Building B at Prairie’s Edge in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Developed by Black Cap Halcyon, this new two-tenant commercial structure totals approximately 7,500 SF and adds more amenities to the growing mixed-use community along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The building includes a 5,700 SF space leased for a future fitness center and an 1,800 SF space planned for a future physical therapy space. Located at the corner of Wisconsin Street and Prairie’s Edge Way, the building will serve both residents of Prairie’s Edge and the surrounding community.
Greenfire previously managed the core and shell construction of the adjacent Commercial Building C, as well as the tenant buildouts for Lakeside Alliance Church and Portside Investment Advisors within Building C. Following Building C’s design cues, Building B will feature steel framing and high-performance materials to stand up to the breezy shoreside conditions of the site. Greenfire is overseeing site preparation, concrete foundations, framing, and building enclosure while coordinating closely with The Kubala Washatko Architects and Pierce Engineers to finish out the tenant spaces as well.
The new commercial building’s main feature will be a large open-concept gym floor, with ample natural light from large window bays and a nearly 40’ open ceiling pitch. The building will have an entry vestibule, entry lobby, lounge, two physical therapy rooms, a yoga studio, locker rooms, bathrooms and even an indoor / outdoor garage bay in the gym space.
Prairie’s Edge is a master-planned development featuring residential, commercial, and public amenities designed to connect seamlessly with the surrounding Port Washington community. The site includes more than 2,000 linear feet of Lake Michigan frontage and is positioned as a southern gateway to the city.
Once complete, Commercial Building B will add new wellness options to the Prairie’s Edge community, supporting the overall vision of a walkable community that blends neighborhood living, local business, and views of one of Wisconsin’s most scenic waterfronts.
