Merge Urban Development‘s latest mixed use apartment development that offers wonderful views of the Mississippi River is now open! Greenfire‘s project team worked towards the completion of this five-story mixed use development that features 52 residential units. Floorplans come in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units, many of which feature views of the Mississippi River and bridge. The first-floor features over 3,000 SF of commercial space as well. The scope of the project also included the demolition of two buildings on the site. The project qualified for Iowa Economic Development Association’s Workforce Housing Tax Credits and Iowa Brownfield / Grayfield Redevelopment Tax Credits as well. Designed by Slingshot Architecture, Urbane424 is clad in unique weathered steel and utilizes reclaimed, decorative beams to give that upscale, industrial flair in Downtown Burlington. The development also features an open courtyard to provide urban green space and acts as a hub for activity for foot traffic. The building also features a rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful sunrises over the Mississippi. Residents can now call this unique urban development home!
