The inaugural Indigenous Business Convention was held this month at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The in-person event was hosted by the Indigenous Business Group and served as a way for native owned businesses, tribal officials, thought leaders and non-native participants to come together to connect, network, and further opportunity with other native entities.
The event kicked off with an evening reception followed by a full day of networking at the trade show and exploring different break-out sessions. A gala concluded the first day of the conference that consisted of performances, a plated dinner, an awards ceremony and closing remarks from the director of Reservation Dogs, Sterlin Harjo. The second day of the conference consisted of break-out sessions and dedicated networking segments. A portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin.
We are still overcome with gratification from attending and being part of the inaugural conference. We would like to thank Collin Price of B-Team Strategy, Zoar Fulwilder of Mavid Construction Services, LLC, Rob Pero of Perodigm Media and their teams for putting on such an amazing event. We are already looking forward to next year!
