Originally envisioned in 1958 by architect Donald L. Grieb, the Domes remain a defining feature of Milwaukee’s skyline. During the gala, the three distinct natural environments were transformed into immersive experiences—alive with light, music, and design inspiration spanning from Art Deco to the Atomic Age.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, the event raised more than $170,000 to support the experiences, learning opportunities, and everyday moments of wonder the Domes provide year-round. From honoring Grieb’s competition-winning design—a moment that reshaped Milwaukee’s skyline—to envisioning the future of the Domes as a space for peace, wellness, and community, the night reinforced why preservation matters.
Every ticket purchased and every auction bid placed moves the community closer to securing funding for a comprehensive renovation plan that will ensure the Domes remain structurally sound, energy efficient, and accessible for generations to come. The future of the Domes is about resilience and reinvestment in a civic landmark that continues to anchor Milwaukee.
