Greenfire hosted a Lunch & Learn with Construction Management students at Fox Valley Technical College, focused on career opportunities within the construction industry. The session connected students with Greenfire team members across business development, human resources, and construction operations to discuss career paths, daily responsibilities, and proactive steps towards a career in construction management.
The presentation included introductions from Greenfire team members Michael Moe, business development manager, Day Mendoza, human resources manager, Brandon Lehrer, project manager, and Kevin Stockinger, assistant project manager, who shared their backgrounds, roles, and experiences working in construction management. Students also participated in an interactive lightning round discussion covering topics such as field versus office work, technology in construction, managing multiple projects, and balancing collaboration with independent responsibilities.
Greenfire provided an overview of the company’s construction management and preconstruction services, markets served, and current projects throughout Wisconsin. The discussion also highlighted Greenfire’s connection to the Forest County Potawatomi Community and the role collaboration plays across projects and teams.
Brandon Lehrer and Kevin Stockinger shared insight into their education backgrounds, career progression, and daily responsibilities as project management professionals. Students learned about project scheduling, site walkthroughs, coordination with trade partners, communication with project teams, and the importance of organization throughout the construction process.
Additional discussion topics included employee benefits, job requirements, internship and career opportunities, and the qualities Greenfire looks for in future team members. The session concluded with questions and conversations between students, faculty, and the Greenfire team.
