Greenfire joined Potawatomi Ventures in gathering for a special lunch on our Wgema Campus in Milwaukee. Chef Jessica Pamonicutt from Ketapanen Kitchen prepared a delicious traditional meal for our teams after a special presentation of prayer, reflection and shared knowledge by students from Indian Community School. Chef Jessica’s menu included Pulled Bison with blueberry BBQ sauce, Herb Roasted Chicken, A medley of Manomin wild rice, berries, & maple, Ojibwe purple potato salad and a signature salad. The meal was accompanied by pumpkin cornbread and a Chantilly Cream cake with medicine berries.
The Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center held their Red Shawl Gala at Potawatomi Casino | Hotel, which Greenfire was a proud sponsor of. In following with their belief that culture and community are an integral part of an individual’s health and well-being, the Red Shawl Gala provided an opportunity to practice and share traditions alongside modern medicine, as a way to build and heal the mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Members of the Greenfire team joined in the celebration with silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and cultural offerings. Greenfire is always looking to support and strengthen our relationship with the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, as we were the construction managers for the health center, Located in the heart of Milwaukee’s near South Side, at 930 W. Historic Mitchell St.
Greenfire represented at the annual Native American Heritage Dinner held at Potawatomi Casino | Hotel as well. The evening included a celebratory meal with local community leaders and partners.
