Greenfire was a reception sponsor and in attendance for this year’s State of the Tribes Address held in Madison, WI. Forest County Potawatomi Community‘s own Chairman James Crawford took to the podium at the Wisconsin State Capitol to give the address. The main theme of his address was strengthening the cooperative relationship between the state and the tribal communities. Among those attending the address were leaders from the federally recognized tribes. Among highlights mentioned in his address, Chairman Crawford celebrated many achievements in the past year between the state and their tribes. In front of many of the states leading representatives, Chairman Crawford closed his remarks by not only calling for unity and commonality amongst the state’s tribes, but the State of Wisconsin and its residents as a whole, as well as optimism for what’s in store in the next year and beyond.
As a wholly owned company of the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, an investment arm of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, Greenfire was proud to attend the event, and be a sponsor of the reception held at the Park Hotel, right on the Capitol Square.
