Potawatomi Ventures, alongside Sagewind Development and Greenfire – celebrated the new fireside MARKET coming to Slinger.
fireside MARKET broke ground on their newest location of their innovative food-forward market in the Village of Slinger. Located at the intersection of Hetzel Way and State Highway 60, near Interstate 41, the 9,500-square-foot store will be part of the Merchant Village, a 130-acre commercial development by Three Leaf Partners – which is already underway with infrastructure construction.
Greenfire is managing the construction of the new fireside MARKET, with completion expected by summer 2025. The market will feature made-to-order fresh food options, a café, greenspaces, gas and diesel pumps, an electric vehicle charging station and a drive-thru, catering to both Slinger residents and travelers along I41.
Nearly 80 attendees took in a ground blessing by members of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, including songs from Fire Nation drum circle, words from Tom Boelter, Chairman of the Potawatomi Ventures Board and Administrator of Health & Wellness for FCPC, and a prayer from FCPC Council Member Brooks Boyd ushered in the groundbreaking celebration at the future home of a market that guests can grab fresh, healthy, made-to-order food items. Potawatomi Venture’s CEO Kip Richie welcomed everyone in attendance and shared excitement for what the next fireside MARKET will bring to Slinger. The same sentiment was shared by Executive Council and FCPC Vice Chair Heather VanZile, Slinger President Scott Strotz, Executive Vice President of fireside MARKET David Lloveras, and Alex Rexrode, Vice President of Development for Three Leaf Partners. Jeff Johnson, Chief Operating Officer with Potawatomi Ventures shared the vision for what fireside MARKET can bring to Slinger, and how this model can grow to other locations across the Milwaukee area.
fireside MARKET will be the warming hearth for Village residents and travelers alike to gather, as well as be the initial spark to Merchant Village.
