The Daily Reporter, a leading Wisconsin construction industry publication, has recognized Maureen Carlson and Simmi Urbanek, both of Greenfire Management Services as part of their “Women in Construction” series. The award recognizes women across the State of Wisconsin that work in the construction industry. This year, 50 women were selected and honored in a ceremony on August 17, 2023 in Milwaukee.
Carlson has a background in economic development, marketing and business development. She is the regional business development manager for Greenfire and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients across the state. These clients range from the Forest County Potawatomi Community to Wisconsin Farmers Union. Carlson is very active in the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation where she serves as the chair and Momentum West Wisconsin as the past chair.
Urbanek is the director of marketing at Greenfire and has almost 20 years of experience marketing and business development in the construction and architecture industry. She was instrumental in the refresh of Greenfire’s website and updating their marketing materials two years ago. She is active in several nonprofits throughout the Milwaukee area including Islands of Brilliance, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County and Walker’s Point Association where she served as president from 2020-2023. Urbanek is also on the leadership team at Greenfire.
“Maureen and Simmi are such a positive asset to the organization. They really understand the value of a relationship and how to build one,” says Jeb Meier, President, Greenfire.
“We are proud to have them on the team. We are grateful for the recognition from the industry of our team members and continue to celebrate our biggest asset – our people.”
