Position Overview

Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to oversee high-profile projects and mentor the next generation of builders? At Greenfire Management Services, LLC, we champion teamwork, provide hands-on mentorship, and invest deeply in your professional development.

Located in Milwaukee, WI, Greenfire Management Services, LLC (GMS), is one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s fastest growing firms. Founded in 2010, Greenfire is a wholly-owned company of Potawatomi Ventures, the investment arm of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, and as such, maintains minority contractor status.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains sole responsibility for the successful and profitable completion of assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provides oversight to the safe execution of all work and adherence to all OSHA regulations and GMS’s safety policies.
  • Plans, coordinates, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Produces and maintains accurate and timely project records, including approvals.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules and deadlines with the Field Superintendent.
  • Ensures overall project quality by verifying adherence to plans and specifications, anticipating issues, and eliminating or minimizing their effects.
  • Reviews and approves shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, etc.
  • Take proactive measures to eliminate the risk of avoidable penalties, citations or fines.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic by taking initiative to execute all job duties to the highest quality standards while maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Works to develop and grow Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents & Project Managers by providing training, mentoring and
    coaching.

INTERDEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate with the estimating team during the bidding process by reviewing plans, identifying subcontractors, and participating in RFPs and interviews.
  • Partners with the Superintendent to develop and maintain project schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinates with accounting and administrative teams to review and approve invoices, manage cost accounting, and submit financial reports.
  • Works with safety personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies through inspections and documentation.
  • Engage with leadership and business development teams to maintain client relationships and identify future opportunities.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, and 10+ years of experience in a project management role with a construction management firm/general contractor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to manage construction projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million.
  • Skilled in reading construction drawings/specs, using project management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.)
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Skill and interest in training and developing other team members.
