Position Overview

Greenfire Management Services, LLC, is currently seeking a Project Engineer for our Wausau office. The Project Engineer plays a vital role in our company by assisting and supporting the project management team. This position involves providing technical support, interpreting design drawings, and addressing any technical issues that may arise during construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish new relationships in the subcontractor market through outreach and the development of project bid lists.
  • Participate in the setup of a project using Procore, draft subcontracts, solicit input for the project schedule, and help oversee overall communication flow.
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints and action plans for both internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with the project management team (PMT) to prepare and distribute meeting minutes, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and notices to subcontractors and owners.
  • Process shop drawings, submittals, design clarifications, project supplements, and safety inspection reports.
  • Assist the PMT in collecting all necessary project closeout information and manage the completion of the punch list, collaborating with the project manager and superintendent to ensure the overall success of the project.

TRAVEL

  • This position will be stationed out of our Wausau office and will require flexibility to travel up to 2 hours to jobsites 3-5 times per week. Jobs can be located anywhere within that travel range.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field (i.e. engineering). Experience working for a construction manager or general contractor a plus.
  • The ability to guide, direct and coordinate the work of multiple activities at the same time.
  • Client-oriented while keeping the company’s interests in mind.
