Position Overview

Greenfire Management Services, LLC, is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Wausau office. The Assistant Project Manager plays a vital role in our company by assisting and supporting the project management team in overseeing and coordinating construction projects. This position provides technical support, handling of administrative tasks, scheduling, and maintaining project documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assesses subcontractor qualifications, finalizes and issues subcontract and purchase order agreements, confirms signed agreements, and promptly establishes cost accounting.
  • Reviews, approves, and coordinates documents such as shop drawings, mock-up approvals, pre-installation meeting notes, design clarifications, project supplements, safety inspection reports, subcontractor and supplier billings, owner draw requests, profit analysis, and project revenue with the project team.
  • Oversee and manage the timely completion of all punch list items, ensuring that all work is fully completed before demobilization.
  • Reviews and approves invoices and receipts for accuracy and assists with the collection of invoices. Prepares and submits monthly financial reports while keeping project files and communications updated.
  • Manage the project closeout process by attending walkthroughs with the owner and architect to create the punch list, gathering and presenting closeout information, and verifying the completion of punch list items for sign-off by the owner and architect.

TRAVEL

  • This position will be stationed out of our Wausau office and will require flexibility to travel up to 2 hours to jobsites 3-5 times per week. Jobs can be located anywhere within that travel range.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a BS in construction management/engineering or a BS in a related field along with 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer working with a construction manager or general contractor.
    Related experience may be considered.
  • The ability to guide, direct and coordinate the work of multiple activities at the same time.
  • Client-oriented while keeping the company’s interests in mind.
